Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the following qualifications depending on the post:

For Agniveer GD:

       ·  Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% aggregate marks in five basic subjects.
·  Minimum 33% marks in each subject.
·  For boards following grading systems, equivalent grades will be considered.
·  Indian Gorkhas – Class 10th simple pass.

For Other Posts:

·  8th / 10th / 12th pass (as per post requirement).

Note: Candidates awaiting Class 10th results can apply but must produce the original mark sheet during Phase II.


Age Limit

·  Minimum Age: 17½ Years

·  Maximum Age: 21 Years

·  Candidates born between 01 July 2005 to 01 July 2009 (both inclusive) are eligible.

Age Relaxation:

·  Widows of Defence Personnel who died in harness – Relaxation up to 30 years.

·  Women widowed/divorced legally separated without children are eligible.

·  Age relaxation as per government rules.


Physical Standards

Minimum Height:

·  162 cm (General Category)

Chest:

·  Minimum expansion of 5 cm.

Weight:

·  As per BMI standards mentioned in the official chart.


Special Height Relaxation (4 cm)

Candidates belonging to the following regions are eligible for 4 cm relaxation:

·  North East States (Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam)

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

The Physical Fitness Test will be conducted at the Rally Site (Phase II).

·  Group I: Up to 7 min 45 sec – Excellent

·  Group II: 7 min 46 sec to 8 min 30 sec – Good

Other Tests:

·  Long Jump: 10 feet (Qualifying)

·  High Jump: 3 feet (Qualifying)

Special provisions for hilly terrain candidates may apply.


Medical Standards

Candidates must:

·  Be physically and mentally fit.

·  Be free from any disability.

·  Meet detailed Army medical standards.

Medical examination will be conducted during the rally phase.


Selection Process
