released the OSSC JE Recruitment 2026 Notification for 646 Group-B
and Group-C Technical posts under various Government of Odisha departments.

seeking a stable Odisha Government job.
The online application process will commence from 30 May

Educational
Qualification
The qualification requirements differ according to the post.
For Junior Engineer (Civil), candidates should possess a
Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Architectural Assistant candidates should have a Diploma in
Architectural Assistantship.
Cameraman, Photographer, Sound Recordist, Mechanic, and
Video Film Editor candidates require +2 qualification along with relevant
technical Diploma or Degree.
Junior Draughtsman candidates should have HSC with NTC in
Draughtsman Civil and knowledge of Computer Application and AutoCAD.
Tracer candidates should possess HSC, NTC in Draughtsman
Civil, Basic Computer Certificate, and AutoCAD Certificate.
Candidates must also satisfy the Odia language requirement
prescribed by OSSC.
Age Limit
The age will be calculated as on 1 January 2025.

Age: 42 Years
Age relaxation is available as per Odisha Government rules.
SEBC, SC, ST, and Women candidates receive five years
relaxation.
PwD candidates receive ten years relaxation.
Ex-servicemen receive relaxation according to government
norms.

Fee
General and SEBC candidates are required to pay Rs. 500 as
examination fee.
SC, ST, and PwD candidates are exempted from payment.
An important advantage is that candidates who actually
appear in the Preliminary Examination will receive a refund of the examination
fee.
Salary
Structure
Selected candidates will receive attractive salary packages
under the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay (ORSP), 2017.
Depending on the post, appointments will be made under
Level-9, Level-8, or Level-5 pay matrix.
In addition to basic pay, employees may receive Dearness
Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Medical Benefits, and other government service
benefits.

The recruitment process consists of three stages.
Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination is objective in nature.

200 marks with a duration of two hours.
Different technical papers are prescribed for different
posts.
Negative marking is applicable.
Certificate Verification
Shortlisted candidates will be called for document
verification.
Original educational certificates, caste certificates,
special category certificates, and other required documents must be produced.
