Candidates having a Regular Graduation degree can apply online from 21 May 2026 to 06 June 2026 through the official website punjabandsind.bank.in.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • Regular Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute.

Important Conditions:

  • Postgraduate candidates are NOT eligible
  • Candidates with 1 year or more work experience after graduation are not eligible
  • Candidates who completed apprenticeship training earlier are not eligible
  • Candidates should not have completed 5 years after passing graduation.

Mandatory Registration Requirement

Candidates must complete 100% profile registration on:

  • NATS Portal – nats.education.gov.in

before applying online through the bank website.

Age Limit

The age limit is calculated as on 01 May 2026.

  • Minimum Age – 20 Years
  • Maximum Age – 28 Years.

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST – 5 Years
  • OBC (NCL) – 3 Years
  • PwBD – 10 Years
  • Widows/Divorced Women – Additional relaxation as per rules
  • 1984 Riot Victims – 5 Years.

Application Fee

  • ₹100 + applicable taxes

General/OBC/EWS

  • ₹200 + applicable taxes.

The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online only.

Stipend & Benefits

Selected apprentices will receive:

  • ₹12,300 per month stipend

However, apprentices are not entitled to:

  • DA
  • HRA
  • Travel allowance
  • Medical allowance
  • Bank employee benefits.

This is strictly an apprenticeship training program.

Selection Process

The selection process is very simple compared to most bank recruitments.

Selection Stages

  1. Merit List based on 10+2 Marks
  2. Document Verification
  3. Medical Examination

Merit List Preparation

Unlike SBI Apprentice or IBPS exams, there is:

  • No written examination
  • No CBT test

Selection will be based on:

  • 10+2 (HSC) marks

The merit list will be prepared:

  • State-wise
  • District-wise
  • Category-wise.

Tie-Breaking Rule

If two candidates have equal marks:

  • Older candidate will be ranked higher.

Local Language Requirement

For Odisha:

  • Odia language knowledge is mandatory.
