The State Bank of India has officially released the SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification for 7150 Apprentice vacancies across India under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates having a Graduation degree in any discipline can apply online from 19 May 2026 to 08 June 2026 through the official SBI career portal.

This recruitment is one of the biggest banking apprenticeship opportunities in India and is ideal for graduates preparing for banking jobs such as SBI Clerk, IBPS Clerk, RBI Assistant, and other banking examinations. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000 during the one-year training period.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute.

Important Conditions:

  • Candidates who already completed apprenticeship training are not eligible
  • Candidates currently pursuing apprenticeship training are not eligible
  • Candidates with 1 year or more job/training experience after graduation are not eligible.

Mandatory NAPS Registration

Before applying online through SBI website, candidates must register on:

  • apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (NAPS Portal).

Without NAPS registration, the application will not be accepted.

Age Limit

The age limit is calculated as on 01 April 2026.

  • Minimum Age – 20 Years
  • Maximum Age – 28 Years

Candidates must have been born:

  • Not earlier than 02 April 1998
  • Not later than 01 April 2006.

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST – 5 Years
  • OBC (NCL) – 3 Years

Stipend & Benefits

Selection Process

The online written examination will consist of 100 objective-type questions carrying 100 marks.
