Educational Qualification

For the post of Warden, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) from a recognized university and should have at least two years of experience in hostel management. Retired teachers up to 62 years of age may also apply if they are physically and mentally fit.

Candidates applying for Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper must have passed the HSC examination from a recognized board.

For Head Cook and Assistant Cook posts, no fixed educational qualification has been prescribed. Preference will be given to candidates who have received cookery training or possess relevant experience. Applicants should also have knowledge of hygiene and safe cooking practices.

Important Eligibility Conditions

Preference will be given to candidates belonging to the local block. If suitable candidates are not available, applicants from adjacent blocks may be considered. Candidates from outside the district will not be eligible. Warden, Head Cook and Assistant Cook must be willing to stay in the hostel round the clock to manage hostel activities effectively.

Salary Details

·       Warden: ₹21,175 per month

·       Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper: ₹7,500 per month

·       Head Cook: ₹9,000 per month

·       Assistant Cook: ₹6,750 per month

The remuneration includes both employee and employer EPF contributions. These positions are contractual in nature and do not carry regular government pay scales.

Age Limit

·       For Warden, the age should be between 30 and 60 years. Retired teachers can apply up to 62 years of age.

·       For Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper, candidates should be between 21 and 32 years.

·       For Head Cook, the age limit is 30 to 40 years.

·       For Assistant Cook, the age should be between 21 and 32 years.

Selection Process

Selection will generally be conducted at the school level and may include application screening, interview, document verification and practical skill assessment for cook-related posts. In most cases, no written examination will be conducted unless specifically mentioned by the concerned school authority.
