Notification for the recruitment of 2,218 tentative Nursing Officer
(Group-B) vacancies across 27 AIIMS institutes and participating Central
Government hospitals. The recruitment will be conducted through the Nursing
Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-11, one of the largest
nursing recruitment examinations in India.
Candidates possessing B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic
B.Sc. Nursing, or GNM with two years of experience can apply online
from 24 July 2026 to 13 August 2026 (5:00 PM) through the official AIIMS

Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational
qualifications and registration requirements before the closing date of online

Educational Qualification
Candidates can apply through either of the following routes:

The qualification must be obtained from an institute
recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing
Council, along with registration as a Nurse and Midwife with the State or

in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)
must also have:

as Nurse & Midwife with the State or Indian Nursing Council.

years' experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after
obtaining the essential qualification and registration.

Stage-II – NORCET Mains Examination
Only candidates shortlisted from Stage-I (up to five times
the number of vacancies in each category) are eligible to appear in the Mains
examination.
Final Merit List
The final merit list is prepared solely on the basis of Stage-II
performance. Tie-breaking is carried out as specified in the official
notification.
