Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rourkela Steel
Plant (RSP), through its Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela, has
released the SAIL RSP IGH Trainee Recruitment 2026 notification for 112
training seats under three different training programmes.
The recruitment is being conducted for Medical Attendant
Training, Hospital Administration Training and OT/Anesthesia Assistant Training.
The online application process started on 05 September 2026 and eligible
candidates can apply online up to 20 September 2026.
An important point candidates should understand is that this
is not a regular SAIL job recruitment. It is a one-year stipend-based
training programme for employability and skill enhancement. The
notification specifically states that completion of the training does not give
candidates any right to future employment in SAIL or RSP.

IGH Trainee Eligibility Criteria 2026
The programme is intended for eligible underprivileged
candidates who are residents of Odisha. Candidates from Sundargarh
District and other districts of Odisha can apply.
Preference will be given to candidates belonging to the
direct impact zones of Rourkela Steel Plant, including:

Candidates who have already undergone a similar training
programme at IGH are not eligible for a second tenure.
1. Medical Attendant Training Qualification
Candidates must have passed:
- Matriculation/10th
standard or equivalent
2. Hospital Administration Training Qualification
Candidates must have passed one of the following, as
applicable:
- MBA
of minimum 2-year duration
- BBA
of minimum 3-year duration
- PG
Diploma of minimum 2-year duration
The qualification should be in areas such as:
- Hospital
Management
- Hospital

- Human
Resources
- Marketing
- Finance
The notification gives preference to candidates whose MBA,
BBA or PG Diploma is specifically in Hospital Management/Hospital
Administration.
3. OT/Anesthesia Assistant Training Qualification
Candidates must have:

Intermediate/10+2 examination from a recognized Council, and
- Completed
a one-year Hospital Attendant/Anesthesia Attendant Training Programme
from a reputed institute/hospital.
